3.3.6.2. Check of system of ignition

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The system of ignition develops very high voltage therefore, when working it is necessary to observe extra care.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the engine is not started, and the starter turns the crankshaft, then disconnect high-voltage wires from candles and connect to them the calibrated rated sportsman for check of ignition (is available on sale). Connect one of rated sportsman conclusions to a bolt or a metal arm on the engine.
2. In the absence of a test rated sportsman disconnect a wire from one of candles, take away the isolating tip and record a wire the isolated tool at distance not Bol of 6 mm from the bared site of weight.
3. Turn the crankshaft a starter and you watch a rated sportsman or a wire of a candle. There has to be an intensive spark of blue color.
4. If the spark is available, then on candles necessary tension moves (check other wires). Turn out candles and check them (see subsection 2.16).
5. If the spark is absent or sparking unstable, then uncover the distributor and check a condition of a cover and the runner (see subsection 2.17). At detection of moisture wipe dry a cover and the runner, establish a cover into place and repeat check.
6. If there is still no spark, then disconnect a high-voltage wire of the coil of ignition from a distributor cover and connect a wire to a test rated sportsman (a wire of a candle establish into place). Repeat tests. In the absence of a rated sportsman record a coil wire the isolated tool at distance about 6 mm from the bared site of weight.
7. In the absence of a spark check all conducting of primary chain of the coil of ignition, be convinced of purity and reliability of connections. Execute necessary repair and repeat test.
8. If the spark appeared, then malfunction of a cover of the distributor, runner, candles, wires and their tips can be the cause. If there is still no spark, replace a high-voltage wire of the coil obviously serviceable and repeat check If the new wire does not change result, check the ignition coil (see subsection 3.3.6.5).
