10:16. Removal of air from a hydraulic actuator of brakes

GENERAL INFORMATION

For effective work of brakes it is necessary to remove air from a hydraulic actuator (to pump over brakes). Need of pumping arises after replacement of details of a hydraulic actuator of brakes. When dismantling a hydraulic actuator of one wheel it is possible to be limited to pumping only of the understanding contour.

Removal of air is carried out from all system of brakes in the sequence: right back wheel, the left back, right forward, left forward.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Restore normal pressure in the vacuum amplifier of brakes for what press about 30 times a pedal on the stopped engine.
2. Uncover a tank and add liquid. When pumping you watch liquid level, add liquid without allowing strong lowering of the level.

3. Unscrew the union of the right back wheel and slightly tighten. Attach a hose to the union, lower other end of a hose in a transparent vessel with brake fluid.
4. Ask the assistant to press several times a pedal of a brake and to hold. On cars with anti-blocking system it is necessary to press a brake pedal not less than 12 times (if special sets are applied to pumping by one person, then be guided by the instruction attached to a set).
5. Unscrew the union and after the stream of the liquid following with bubbles weakens, tighten the union. Ask the assistant to release a pedal.
6. Repeat the procedure until in the following liquid bubbles do not cease to be observed. Tighten the union and check liquid level in a tank.
7. Perform these operations on other wheel cylinders in the sequence stated above. Upon termination of restore liquid level in a tank. After pumping of brakes the pedal has to be rigid.
