PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight, disconnect hoses from the pump, turn off 2 nuts of fastening of the pump.
2. Remove the pump, if necessary displace the pump easy blow to wooden whetstone.
3. Remove 2 laying.
4. The pump non-demountable and to repair is not subject. Installation is carried out upside-down. Replace laying from both parties of a pro-rate of the pump, without breaking their thickness.

Prevention

In system of injection L-Jetronic the pump of pumping is mounted near a tank, in the Motronic system this pump is mounted in the fuel tank. The fuel level sensor is mounted in the fuel tank on the pump of pumping or on the fuel pump.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
Execute a decompression and disconnect the battery from weight.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car.
2. Remove a cover and disconnect from the wire pump.
3. Press clips fuel hoses of the pump and disconnect them on the pump.
4. Unscrew screws of fastening and remove the pump. Installation is carried out upside-down.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew screws and remove the hatch (is under a back seat or under a rug in a luggage carrier, depending on model).
2. Disconnect sockets of the pump of pumping (1) and the fuel level sensor (2) in early system of injection Motronic.
3. For a detachment of the socket hook a bracket so that dredging was combined with a groove on a latch and part parts of the socket.
4. On a part of cars to take the pump with the sensor it is necessary to turn this knot counterclockwise.
5. On a part of cars the pump knot with the sensor fastens these nuts.
6. In early system of injection Motronic at first get the fuel level sensor, then get the pump, without disconnecting hoses.
7. On early models unscrew fastening screws, take away brackets and remove the pumping pump.
8. Installation is carried out upside-down. If necessary replace laying between the pump and the fuel tank.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the pump with the sensor.
2. In system of injection L-Jetronic and in the early Motronic system check resistance between the specified conclusions according to the table. Be convinced of the late Motronic system that resistance between conclusions 1 and 3 decreases at a sensor plunger raising.
3. If resistance differs, then replace the sensor.
4. Installation is carried out upside-down.
